Hi I'm Mimi Wright and here's personal narrative by Kayla H..

     Did you hear about the Absecon Blue Devils cheer competition last month?  The competition was at Egg Harbor Township High School.  We had to be there at 8:30 in the morning.  While we were waiting, we practiced our routine in a little room.   When it was our time to go perform, we were very nervous.  My stomach was shaking.  Then we got excited when we started doing our chant.  We did great and we won first place.

Animal Crazy!

     Let me tell you about who I want to be when I grow up . I want  to be a veterinarian because you can see cute pets. It sounds like a dirty job but I love animals. The only thing that will annoy me is the barking. I love dogs because they get you good exercise. That is why I want a job as a veterinarian.

Packing My Suitcase

    

     If I had to move to another country and could only bring one suitcase with me, I would bring clothes, an iPad, an iPad charger, food, my American girl doll, a book, and math.  I would take my iPad to text, Face time, and email.  I would also need food to survive.  I would want my American Girl Doll and a book to not get bored.  The math would just be to practice.  Those are the top seven things that I would choose.  Do you think they are your top seven things?  If they are, I like your style!

My Cat Ava

     I have a cat named Ava.  She has blue eyes, gray fur, and a curly black tail.  I found her in a hole without a mom or dad so I got her out.  She is now 20 days old.  She is the best pet!

     Let me tell you about my hamster.  My hamster's name is Charley.  Charley is very,very cute.  He is the same colors as my dog, black and white.  All night he exercises in the moonlight.  We watch videos until Sarafina Facetimes me.  Charley loves to sleep all day.  He is very grouchy when I wake him up.  That's why you should get a hamster too.

      Have you ever went to Shop Rite? First, you make a list of the things that you want to get.  Next, hop in the car and drive to a local Shop Rite near you. Then, you get a cart and look for the stuff on your list.  Last, you get your stuff and treats.  Finally, go home and eat it all up. That's how you go food shopping.

This is the first of a series of Vokis that were completed independently by students at home.  They are hooked and can't help using this tool after hours.  It is music to my ears because there is never enough time to do as many of these as I would like during the school day.  Feel free to follow in their footsteps and make Vokis from home.  Just remember that they must follow our green-yellow-yellow-yellow-red paragraph format if you want to have it published.  Experimenting and messing around with the Voki characters is no problem, but only the serious assignments that follow directions will be published on News Channel 2.

Taco Tuesdays!

Hi, I'm Mimi Wright and here's another personal narrative.

What kind of favorite food do you like for dinner?  I love tacos and I drink milk with them.  Sometimes on Tuesday we eat tacos because we can say it is "Taco Tuesday."  I ate them yesterday even though it wasn't Tuesday.  Once I ate four tacos in a row!  I was really stuffed.  Next time you should go eat a taco or more!  Now you should like tacos like I do!

Love Those Saturdays

Do you want to know my favorite day of the week?  It is Saturday because I get to go to my soccer game and my team is very good.  I also get to have my friends over too.  I love to go outside on Saturdays when it is sunny.  The best thing about Saturday is I get to stay up late and I can have sleepovers.  Saturdays are awesome!
